Bruce Horak at Open Pike Night!
Open Pike Night is telepathically excited to welcome Bruce Horak!
When the character trailers for Strange New Worlds were released into the wild, longtime Star Trek fans were treated to the return of the Aenar with the introduction of Chief Engineer Hemmer. We also know that despite his character's demise, Bruce's time on Trek is not over, so rest easy knowing that he'll be back!
Even before guiding some of our favorite legacy characters through growing pains and fixing what was broken aboard the USS Enterprise, Mr. Horak was no stranger to high stakes and science fiction on the screen - having appeared in Warehouse 13's "Beyond Our Control" as well as the murder mystery series In The Dark.
He has also spent considerable time on-stage, winning an award for his role in Evil Dead: The Musical and his one-man show, Assassinating Thomson, which also showcases his work as a painter.
If you’re looking for Strange New Worlds homework, we suggest watching episodes 2, 3, 4, 8, and if you can handle it again, 9, specifically. We are now accepting your usual thoughtful, insightful, and delightfully irreverent questions for this gracious guest.
You have until Monday, November 28th at 11pm EST to get your questions for Bruce and your thoughts on Hemmer rounded up and recorded (remember, keep it at or under 90 seconds!) and send them to openpike@gmail.com to be featured on-stage!
